I decided to give my 2 cents here, in this matter, i've been playing MMORPG's since the days of TBC WoW, and one thing is clear, in every single online game, it's always against the rules the use of your alt, to benefit your main. And i say this with the most absolute certainty, because here's the deal, basically in some online games like naruto online, you plunder your alt account right, let's just say you do that everyday, monday to sunday(1 week) and that's 350 coupons you got in 1 week of plundering, now think about how much money Oasis is losing with this, and the amount of people that do it.
You have the monthly coupon deal which is nice, but, with this issue, people can outright skip the deal, cuz guess what, they got a free deal by plundering their alt, so they dont need to pay anything. So yes, i think Oasis is giving people the time to do this in a way, they allow people to do this from what i see so far, but a slap in the wrist is still required to look good on the picture(ToS ya know).
Now the most important part, you ask yourself why doesnt Oasis enforce the rules? Low population servers need this kinda deal, otherwise if oasis starts handing out bans to people or make people choose between their mains and alts, you know damm well what's gonna happen, overall it will hinder the naruto online population, and the dead servers will cease to even exist in some cases if that applies. So think of it as a lesser evil, that's needed.
So there ya go folks, i think it's pretty much known why this is a necessary evil at some point, im still in the opinion they should stop the new servers system creation, and focus on merges, and then start doing a bit of research on which players are abusing this system, it requires some work yes, but nothing is impossible with people who are dedicated to improve this game(not that i have faith in this team).
The part about having *t to boost your main being against the rules is soooo not true though.
Using your example, should you not be allowed to farm herbs on your alt in WoW to use them for crafting potions on your main? Would that be considering abuse, since you'd be able to have more professions than what is allowed on your main? No.
Or Eve Online, everyone has alts. You have alts that allows you to do things, or fly things, that your main couldn't do. Mining, boosting, lighting cynos, dreadnaught alts, carrier alts, tit*ts, etc, the list goes on.
I don't do the whole plunder-your-own-alt-thing myself, but why is it a problem? It means that person isn't plundering another player, so that player hasn't lost any coupons. It also gives other people a higher chance of being able to plunder. It's a WIN-WIN situation. The overall net gain of coupons is positive, for the whole server. I don't think that is a problem considering how many low pop servers there are.
