You can atleast save a little by getting them with free points whenever they appears in one of the events that have redeem shops .. You can get around 6 to 12 free fragments of the cloths using only the free points, like in the Konoha Great Tree, you can get free dews to get free fortune coins to redeems some fragments of the clothing .. Same with the lucky board with the free 2 dices per day .. with the help of that, you can lessen your expense for buying the remaining frags to complete your set ..

Following that logic, you should never buy anything (except for the shop only ninjas)...which means your 5star-Shop Ninjas are gonna have no power behind them.

Huh? what 5star shop ninja? .. Sorry but, i didn't understand what you said?
..If you are talking about not redeeming power-up items from the event then you didn't get the point .. My statement clearly says and talks only about the Clothes, if people wants to get the clothes at lower prices or in a way that you can spend less than it is valued at maxed then redeeming its frags piece by piece is a good idea .. that's how i got my clothes this past few weeks, redeemed some of the Exquisite and Fukurokumaru Clothes from the past events and bought the last frags this last weeks cycles and i've only spent half of its price for complete set since i only need to buy 20 to 25pcs of it from the events .. And having this clothes gives you enough power that can cover the losses of yours from not claiming power-up items in the events .. Or maybe you forgot about the clothes gives power? .. Besides that, power-up items such as Cave Keys, Medium Refines, Myoboku Gifts and Charm Materials can be farmed in so many different ways like Decisive Bonds, Monthly Event, Nine-Tails and SWB, Daily Practice Froggies and Etc., but the Clothing Frags? .. You cannot farm them from anywhere except for that very time it appeared in the event ..
