That's not entirely correct.
yes it gives little BP, but the effect of high % purified attributes can come in very handy.
I have 97% initiative purify on my blade pos 1. To get +90% is already rare and difficult. Extra 3 pills I can make my pos 1 initiative 100% effective.
100% effectiveness can apply through control and critical. That's why you might see sometimes your enemy failed to control one of your unit.
Don't judge pills on little extra BP, but look it through its effectiveness that would come to play in the game.
BP doens't always mean everything.
I don't know if you play LoL. For example when adc builds 100% crit, it's guarantee double of damage output.
However that would be deducted by other factors such as def and injury in this game.
Therefore when you do your refine rebate. Hold on to your pills and use it on your best purify. It's hard to obtain for us who don't spend cash in this game.
I think you're misunderstanding what the 100% is representing. To illustrate, consider an equipment that is at level 10 refines. Then in each of the 5 secondary stats (initiative, critical, injury, control, and combo) it is giving +665 to that stat. If we move over the purify section (where the pills act), a 100% on one of those means an additional +665 to that stat (so for example an 80% would be an additional +0.8*665=532 instead). This is NOT correlate to a 100% critical chance for example, that is still computed by comparing to your opponents critical stat. So a breakthrough pill on an l10 equip (which is hard enough to get by the way) only corresponds to a +1% on those 665, or roughly 6.6 (don't how the game decides to handle the decimals) per each of the secondary stats, which is just pitiful comparing the cost the pills are generally at. This is why people find them underwhelming.
