This is actually a hard question.

As they have to be Konoha Shinobi and Kunoichi, the choice is quite limited, and while their skills and element affinities suggest they might belong with certain clans, the original story of Naruto and Naruto Shippuuden may very well make these bloodlines impossible. So I'd rather suggest that each main character belongs to either a civillian family or a minor clan not mentioned in the series.

But for the sake of it, let's entertain the thought of them belonging to well known Konoha clans:

I suggest Scarlet Blaze is a Uchiha because of the Katon and his attitude, while Midnight Blade shares a lot of similarities (both in appearance and skills) with the Hatake. I'd like to think Breeze Dancer and Azure Fang are both offsprings of Tsunade and Jiraya, which explains Breeze Dancer's proficiency with the Rasengan and her blonde beauty and Azure Fang's healing capabilities and water affinity (as she would then be Tobirama's great niece). Moreover, they'd be sisters then. Wouldn't that be nice? Crimson Fist strikes me as an Akimichi, both from his appearance and the fact that he uses Doton. Also he seems kind-hearted and likely to protect his comrades.

But remember, I still prefer they'd be from civillian or minor families rather than paramount clans, if canon tells us their belonging there should be impossible.

Apropos of wishful thinking: I'd like to give the five main characters proper names, which I already used in a fanfiction (The Summer Festival) I posted in this forum. I'd be very happy if you accepted and used them. But again, this is just wishful thinking.
