humm, interesting, this kinda debunks the whole lvl gap in arena theory

Even if there is a level gap as you can see with +/- 30 levels at level 70 you can vs the max level. Most of the active player base would be at least 70 so even if there is a level gap it would not affect many players.

so what ? even 100 level player can not defeat me, although I am level 77

strong player is strong, it is independent of level

It's not much to brag about, I am sure a lot of lower levels defeat higher levels in the arena, seeing as only stat that matters is initiative and that's only for who goes first.

I wouldn't say you are a strong player based on these facts or that the players you versed are not strong, just that whatever build you use it counters what they had used.

You seem to be from a younger server then me perhaps you could try getting some screenshots of people you beat at high levels, just to confirm it's not just cause I am on an old server.

Players want a scrupulous Arena ranked competition, match-ups !

As far as i know now that 4.0 is on rank arena works this way:

if you are waiting since less than 30 seconds you can be matched only with people within +/- 10 levels from you and within +/-1 rank.

if you are waiting since 31-60 seconds the level limit gets removed and you can be matched with whoever is waiting and owns your rank +/-1.

Every 30 seconds after the first 60 seconds widens the search range to +1 rank (so 61-90 seconds +/-2 ranks, 91-120 seconds +/-3 ranks and so on).

I got matched with the level 100 instantly so there is no 30 second rule with +/- 10 levels.

As for what rank you verse this is not something I have tested out yet. If you have some form of evidence for this I would love for you to post it :)

Have you ever considered the timing of when you queue? If you're queuing, especially earlier in the month, it should be expected you should face whales. On a day to day basis, have you tried doing ranked at different times? Although it isn't the same but it should to a degree, whenever I do training in the earlier mornings or sometimes after night events, it's much harder than other times.

I am aware of this Danzo, but this thread isn't about the likelihood of versing higher or lower levels based on the online player base but what is the biggest level different possible you can encounter.

For me so far I versed someone who is 33 levels higher than me, it was an immediate queue so I was disproving Gav theory on you can only verse a player 10 levels higher or lower in the first 30 seconds of matchmaking.
