Why do we need half a million Sasukes? We don't. I see no reason to add yet another Sasuke and prioritize him over other characters.

Want a more expanded list of characters who have enough sprite resources to be put into this game as playable, but aren't? Okay. See how many you can recognize.

Zori. Waraji.

Kotetsu Hagane. Hayate Gekko. Yugao Uzuki. Raido Namiashi, kind of. Ebisu. Shippuden Konohamaru. Rin Nohara. Mizuki. Hanabi Hyuga. Chunin Jacket Shikamaru.

Shigure. Midare and Baiu. Shiore. Shiore's unnamed teammate. Oboro. Mubi. Not Kagari for some weird reason.

Dosu. Kin.

Heck, even Filler Arc Mizuki has sprite resources and could be added.

The devs SHOULD have resources for all of these characters, even if not all of them appear in game. If they wanted to, they could add all of these. I mean, I AM appreciative that they have characters like Fu and Torune – that's something really special imo – but I feel like they need to step up their game just a bit. They've already programmed like a hundred characters in already, so it shouldn't be difficult to add more?

Sorry about the rant. It always triggers me when I see multiple versions of other characters, besides the basic forms, being prioritized over characters who still need to be added. It's a pet peeve of mine in this game, along with other games like FEH and UNB. Hopefully this is more informative than rageful?

However, this does spark another question. If I recall correctly, the game did have a copyright issue in which they had to plan on reskinning PB! Sasuke, Sailor Sakura, and a few other characters I can't remember off the top of my head right now.

This makes me believe that the issue is with the Naruto movies and spinoffs rather than the canon. Is this actually the case?

Second question. Some of the ninjas that OP and myself referred to, such as the pre-Shippuden Sasuke during his fight with Gaara (the Chidori one) and Team Dosu of course, already appear in the game as enemies. Do the devs still need permission to make them playable if they're already in the game like this? In my rational mind this doesn't make sense; why would you be freely allowed to put in a character in as a non player character or enemy, but need the copyright holders' permission to add them as a playable character? I feel like the devs would already have permission to use at least some of the characters that they have already used in the game without asking for permission.

Is this true? Am I completely mistaken? Am I just misunderstanding the game industry? Is this sensitive material? I don't know... I don't know...

Suggestions for the Sound 4's Curse Seal forms and Team Dosu were put up long, long ago, back when the game was young. I haven't seen much happen since unfortunately.

PB! Sasuke's one of the few characters who won't show up in your Ninja interface unless you have fragments of him.

Team Dosu isn't playable unfortunately. I've been pushing for them to be added for... like a year now. I even wrote this argument...

The only other characters that come to mind that are playable, but don't show up on the list unless you have fragments of them are Makeout Paradise Kakashi and Shikamaru, I think, and maybe Sailor Sakura too? I can't remember...

Of course, I understand that. But I don't think that justifies him having alternate forms prioritized over Dosu and many other characters even being playable at all.
