So how is it possible out of the hundreds or thousands of players playing the game, you end up being matched in Arena with the same guy 8x in a row? This is what happened with the guy in the screenshot below. He surrendered multiple times after our first fight and I was getting him over and over again. I'm sorry that happened to you random LM player being matched up with me I wanted to try Fire Blitz Shenanigans :c
I tried multiple times trying to tell him that I was going to let him win but before the buffs could finish he would retreat before I could tell him that I'll let him win :c
Why didnt you just click the retreat *on instead of telling him that you will let him win? It also happens to me, and if I win him first time, I let him win the 2nd time. But if I meet him again 3rd time, I compete again, because like me, he is just trying his line up and not doing arena rewards.
how that lineup worked?worth it to change back to fire?
arena is so weird to me. i can sit in que for few mins and get no1. then when i do its someone thats impossible to beat. i can que 2 chars at once and both will sit in que with no1. still wondering why arena works that way.
Before the 61st day of your server, arena is not cross server, so is not weird that you meet none.
What frustrates me about the Arena matching is something different...the types of players. I generally see 2:
1) players (often like myself) that create god-awful teams to so they can complete the 2 missions.
2) players that create OP teams for "testing".
Personally, I don't like the Arena. I wanna get my 2 missions done, and leave. I'm often embarassed about making terrible teams, but it's what the missions require of me, so I make the best of it with the ninja I have. But most of the time, it takes over an hour (sometimes 2-3) to get through it. It seems like more and more players use the Training section to showcase their competitive teams--teams I couldn't beat even WITHOUT the mission constraints.
The result is, both the Ranked section and Training section are used competitively, making the activity unplayable for those of us just trying to get Activity/Arena Points.
My suggestion:
Either create a 3rd section for getting points...maybe give it an AI opponent,
OR
restrict Training battles to players that satisfy at least 1 mission requirement.
OR
give a non-buff penalty to players that don't satisfy mission requirements: --1 requirement met: all ninja acupunctured for the 1st round; --no requirements met: all ninja chaosed for the 1st round.

so what about players who have finished their missions we shouldnt be able to play on arena until next day?
And most of the times the game during midday is boring with no events or dailies to do so i and probably even others play on arena with our "OP" teams just out of boredom its not that we (at least myself) are bragging about our teams everyday and 10 times a day

But do you ignore the fact that there are others who want to finish the missions? If I see the same person multiple times, I know that they are trying to do their missions. If you figure out that your opponent is trying to do missions but you don't want to help them just because you are trying to brag/try out your team/bored or any other reasons, then you should listen to the people here instead of thinking about yourself.

i do arenas to test lineups but i always retreat when i see a lineup blatantly made for daily missions, somebody from a very new server (750+) or if i meet the same person a 2nd time.

when i see any team that seems to be made for missions or when i get same guy twice or more of course i retreat but not when i see me

my servers been open for a year now so ya its not that problem hmmm. but also for me i do the ranked so its harder to get match their. training on other hand i get match pretty quick

ranked is limited by your level and points (+/- 15 levels, +/- 1 rank every 30 seconds of wait)
The Arena really is a big jumbled mess the way it is. I personally don't test ninja there, but I can understand their need:
Players that are trying to build a decent team are going to try to use the best ninja they can...and they need solid teams to compete against to really tell if their tactics are viable.
but then you have the mission-players:
making teams with very focused criteria, and very limited ninja that can fulfill that criteria and still be at least halfway decent as a lineup.
Everyday for months I send my main out solo 10-20 times to give my fellow mission-players a break. They're profoundly grateful...meanwhile the testers are generally shocked (and sometimes angry or derisive)--which at first makes me feel upset because i'm just trying to help (and there aren't many of us that are), but now i feel like we're just bunched together when we really shouldn't be.
(btw, I don't feel sympathetic at all to the plights of Training players that throw everything they have at others just because they have nothing better to do. Picking on people because you're bored is just desp|cable--there's no justification for that!)
