Ninja war kiba or naruto is good to use in pve since their clones soak damage and they have a guaranteed chase starter with their auto attacks. So you already combo in round 1, hinata is very strong overall on the frontline, she c*so acupunture that hidan. Then just experiment with the 4th ninja however you want. On your main I advice taking the talent + damage for everyone above 50% hp and take the talent that makes you immune to knockdown etc for pve. Just kill the enemy before they kill you, use the interrupt skill on your main so that you have control over what skill the enemy uses.

You could try using ino in combination with shikimaru to beat that mission specifically. Just use chaos on hidan every turn and he will kill his own team. If you also use ninja war kiba you can cast chaos on 2 people every turn pretty much

I really recommend fighting manually if you are struggling with a mission on auto. Frankly the skill targeting and skill order is often less than optimal in auto.

With manual your mystery skills of ninjas in your team will target the one selected. The automatic attacks will target people in front of them.

I understand its the higher difficulty fight that your having trouble with and thats where I recommend using manual on if your struggling. And as mentioned before, if you use ninja war kiba, ino, shikimaru you will have chaos on hidan every turn, he will kill his own team. You c*so interrupt his skill with your main whenever he uses it. AI is pretty predictable and follows a pattern. You will see in which round who tends to use a skill from the enemy team and then just interrupt it once you know their order.

And if your really struggling even while trying everything, just get more power first before you try again. You do not really need the 3 battle points anyway untill your 70 when you can get tsunade. That 1 extra battle point will not make a difference untill then.

Also when it comes to pve you will have to adapt to the enemy team. Especially when it comes to ninja exam. There is plenty of threads with tips on how to beat certain ninja exam stages more easily. In survival trial I recommend using a team with sustainability that can get you through many missions without losing ninjas. Then use more ninjas on the last fight and breakthrough fights if they are too hard for you. Guy, naruto and gaara are pretty strong in survival trial because naruto : clones tank damage, guy: everyone gets life leech, gaara: gets shield every round so doesnt lose much hp inbetween fights. note: dont use them all in the same team, just using 1 or 2 is fine. On your main take the 3rd skill that shields 2 people every turn.

With placements... just look at the enemy team and place them accordingly. If your going with ninja war kiba, ino, shikimaro. Place ninja war kiba in front of the target you want chaos on. Use hinata or main always on frontline, hinata can be used in almost any pvp fight and mission if you have someone on the team that causes repulse and just place the rest behind it. Try to have ninjas that start chases with a mystery skill in either move 2 or 3 order so that you use it before your opponent does. Generally try to have your main in move 1 because the interrupt has priority.

Ugh I give up.. when it comes to talents I explained the description, you can just read it yourself and click them.. your a lvl 66 crimson fist, did you ever read over your skills?

With positions, its harder to get a screenshot and ask help for positioning with every single enemy your facing... look up in the forums and read up some guides about positioning so you can do it yourself. It really isn't that hard once you know how it works. Try to play the game, dont let others play it for you. I took the patience to answer several of your questions but to me it seems like your not really reading them and attacking me instead, it seems like you know more about the game than me so have fun.

  • The thing is, I've been able to get by fairly easily, at least with the plot instances, when I just used a lineup largely used for the Ninja Exam (one that was good for Exam 65-69) up until now. I figured that if I got a good lineup for exam 70, it might help me continue doing well in the plot instances, at the very least.

Also, when you bring up "figuring out lineups", you do know I can't really do this for Ranked Battle or Arena, right? You can't see someone's lineup in either one to figure out a good formation. And Arena doesn't let you see who you're fighting at all until the match starts. Ranked at least let's you choose your opponent. But both of them start fights immediately after you choose to fight. You can't customize your lineup for the fight at hand.
Just consider my feedback to be for survival trial, instances and ninja exam. Also what will work in ninja exam or survival trial might not work in other places. Ninja exam is mainly about targeting and stopping the right people, or dealing enough damage in case of the sannin with their summons. Survival trial is more about sustain. Heals, shields etc. Instance is pretty easy in comparison
