Easy answer...
You didn't claim on the 8th so you have only 34/35 days claimed. Even if you claim you did, the system didn't catch it or you weren't paying attention to make sure about the claim.

what event is this? is this in-game?
No, this event is not in-game .. They have this event in a Official Christmas Event page that published around december, before christmas .. posted in the News Section of the forums title "Christmas Event Preview" .. It includes 4 types of Site events, first is that one the Daily Sign-In event where you need to sign-in daily just like the one in-game and you will get a 1 point per day that you c*e in the second site event, the Christmas Wheel that is similar with the Group Wheel where you will use 3 points to spin and get some prizes .. Third one is the Share Event, where you need to Share something to your facebook account and it will give you a Activation Code .. and the last event was the Festival Quiz where you need to answer 5 questions correctly, and if you successfully finished the quiz, you will get 1 Activation Code too(contains Medrefines,Advrefines,Coupons) ..
