To see who is who(roles) you will need to read their skills, passives are important too.And you should upgrade all the gear you have, but wiht jsut a priority to some things first depending on character position and his role in battle.If u put someone in front he will obviously need defence and life, cause he will be the one getting atack first and easier.The one behind that guy dont have priority for defence, jsut atack.Good combo would be put someone with fire area skills and focus him in ininjustsu, while one in front of him defence and life.
But to know who is more efective u will ne read alot of their info.btw REsistence also aplies to ninjustsu defence, as crowd control adn dmg one too. And that stuff easily *es defences, so even characters behind first one should have good value.And if you play alot and do msot of events you will be have enough coins to upgrade all the gear, jsut keep repeating stuff.

Ah ok, that actually helps a lot. So upgrading just refers to priorities but they all need to be upgraded and as far as roles go I just have to keep an eye out for what skills and passives they have. Fair enough. Thanks for the help :D
