well treasure of the sage is much better for medium refines if u get them at 40% discount ,but not the most reliable. currently medium refines cost about 17coupons in lucky star plus the chance to get minato,seals and summons

i don't agree on the focusing on refinement in early steps.

first you should focus on main stats (life, attack, ninjutsu, resistance, defense) until you reach all level 4 magatamas, all level 3 charms and BA rank 4, at that point you should focus on refinements. It's pointless to own initiative when you don't own barrier ninjas and when your enemies are at 30k power and you are at 18k.
