Hi! Can you try the older client? It can be found here. If you still experience slower than normal speed, Google Chrome is normally the best route, but you said you experienced lag there as well. Could I by chance ask which server you play on and what country you are from? It is possible that the lag may be due to location.

Jib, there is a difference between lagging and low FPS.

If by "lagging" you meant a network lag, then it is. Network lag is influenced by your internet connection and the server's efficiency.

Low fps on the other hand is usually caused by system issues, like hardware or gpu limits, etc.of which are usually on the player's side.

You need an upgrade.

That CPU was weak 6 years ago when it was first released and was only meant for browsing and playing videos. Now it would struggle playing youtube video properly (i.e. something beyond 1080p 30fps). It certainly can't handle a browser game like this properly. Well, it could when you are idle, but it's about half the horsepower of what's required for combat. (no, you don't need 2.6GHz, it's not quite linear... it's a bit complicated... thou you will want around 2.0GHz on a two thread CPU)

Sub $300 laptops aren't meant to be used for more than 3 years except light browsing so...

On the other hand a $300 PC (fyi, PC generally refers to desktop) can last 6 years. So if you are really tight on money....

Hi! I figured it might help because I found the older client to help especially with computers like Chromebook. There is another thing I can think of and its not the most orthodox solution, but have you tried running the game on Google Chrome and downloading an extension called "Ad Block Plus"? I am not entirely sure why, but I have found that having the extension called "Ad Block Plus" really helped in increasing the fps for many players.

I think I said quite clearly that his CPU was on the weak end on the day it is released. The laptop I had 10 years ago(my first laptop) had a stronger chip in it. I remember it had around 2GHz. Intel Core 2 Duo from 11 years ago have units up to 2.66GHz(granted that's not a laptop chip, laptop chip is up to 2.16GHz)

Jib mentioned chromebook, the cheapest new chromebook I can find, an HP chromebook at 181, features a 2.16GHz chip (turbo up to 2.56GHz if thermal allows)

(You see how high end CPU from 11 year ago matches a low end one from today? So high end stuff can, in fact, compensate for age very well)

It's not just because it's old, it's because it's old and that it's a low end unit. Those things don't age well at all.

P.S. all above mentioned CPU are two core w/o hyper-threading, so they are fairly comparable. Thou they are from different lines so there are minute differences is actual performance, but not more than 10% worth.

Hey im from Macedonia too...so as they said low fps and lag its very different but I feel it as well..network lag and it can mess up sometimes the fights and plunders anyway good thing u format ur computer and tweak ur battery power and see if you put it on low batery and such because if u do ur computer is always on low even the network settings...try to tweak it cause u have good cpu gpu and ram it should not be a problem.
