I can only think of this when I read that Sasuke and Izumi would be both survivors:

I can imagine years of their plotting to find and revenge on Itachi, while Izumi secretly just want to reconnect with him, never truly believing he would do such thing with his own free will~~ Sasuke would have someone to take care of him, that's interesting how he would turn out to be while not being the lone survivor~
