So, on S2 I'm level 36, trying to stay low level and focus on getting power.
I go ahead and try Sage World Battlefield thinking that the way matchmaking is handled it wouldn't be that bad.
I was wrong.
So WHY is a level 36 being thrown into a battlefield with LEVEL 95s?
So here is what it should do separate by level FIRST IN INCRIMENTS OF 10.
Example: 30-40 40-50 50-60 etc.
This will fix this issue. I don't mind losing to people with more power, but not when their level and power is that extreme.
The question is, between S2,4,6,8,10 and 12, is there anyone who is lv 37 to 94 who is NOT in the sage that you were in. And just how many 37 to 94 are there in total?
Fact of the matter is, there could be all of 3 people who is 30-40, another 5 for 40-50, 4 in 50-60 and 10 for 60-70 , each of them can't possibly have their individual sage, there is hardly enough people, in this example, for 30-70 to have a bracket (there is 22, which is barely above the minimal sage requirement of I think 21)
As it is, that cluster is a very old and small, in terms of # of server, server bracket, there probably aren't a whole lot of lowbies in them, so this is entirely possible. So as it is, the best matchmaking in the world won't be able to fix this "problem", because they are constricted by what they have to work with.
Just to be clear, I'm not claiming there isn't a problem. I'm saying that you can't prove one exist ba
Now, I would support more dynamic sage size, so when player are sparse the sage size shrinks to as small as possible to avoid giant gaps. However, hard bracketing won't work due to potentially below minimal requirement number of player within a particular bracket.
Furthermore, we need to think about the level freezers. They have a large enough advantage as it is, they stand a decent chance even if put into a bracket where they are the lowest level. If there were hard brackets, you can bet your hind quarters that they will camp at the highest level of a particular bracket, gaining even a larger advantage.

I only seen 1 level 64 (whom was on my team), then I was attacked by 2 level 95s, from that particular SWB, I decided to leave early only cause I don't wish to feed enemy teams when my opponents are 90+.
I don't mind facing level 40s as I have beaten level 40s as a level 36 having 3k more power on them. (I'm terrible at freezing my level) so the brackets could extend to 30-49. But I would like a "fair" SWB at my level. Hell in my group there is a lot of people who are around 30-70 (which is 58 people). So it wouldn't be that much of a stretch that there are even more spread out across those servers and on S2.
Ok, here are the lowest level player in sage last time, this can be gathered from the sage ranking. I'm listing all the players under lv 80:
S2: Nanako 78, mariomi 79, Nacho 72, Kross 75, Akashas 79, Vikoko 73, Kyoji 79, Kroom 62, Kraus 72, Ron 71, Renji 36, AkihikoHaseki 77, AqiameHizukiu 75, Swys 69, ToshiyuJokan 68
Total 72
S4: Kagari 77, Kaz 78, Joonirama 39, Pigzhu 78, Mink, 38, Flora 45
Total 34
S6: TayuyaUchiha 78, Yuukia 62, KojiroTobita 68,
Total 26
S8: Tirreal 79, MariaHanaoka 51
Total 19
S10: GokuUCHIHA 75, GagakuKagura 79
Total 18
S12: PrincessLisa 79, LuBu 76, Dream 77, Rocket 68
Total 13
So, out of 182 total participants, we have:
PrincessLisa 79, LuBu 76, Dream 77, GokuUCHIHA 75, GagakuKagura 79, Tirreal 79, TayuyaUchiha 78, Kagari 77, Kaz 78, Pigzhu 78, Nanako 78, mariomi 79, Nacho 72, Kross 75, Akashas 79, Vikoko 73, Kyoji 79, Kraus 72, Ron 71, AkihikoHaseki 77, AqiameHizukiu 75,
Rocket 68, Yuukia 62, KojiroTobita 68, Kroom 62, Swys 69, ToshiyuJokan 68
MariaHanaoka 51
Flora 45
Joonirama 39, Mink, 38, Renji 36,
So a 30-49 bracket, as you would have liked, would be all of FOUR people, good luck with that.Even 30-69 is only 11 people, still not enough.
Now, you could make an argument for 30-79, which is 32 people, if bracketing were more dynamic. As it stands now, chances are the 182 was split into two groups of 91, first group being all 95s and rest, including a few 95 perhaps and everyone below 95, were put into another.
No, I am not gonna do a a manual count of all the 94 and below, but here you go, THIS is why you can't ever have a reasonable bracket for you, because in the very least, you'd be fighting the 70s.
When there are not enough people with your level you get thrown into higher lvl sage. I am lvl 83 and i get thrown into lvl 89-90 sage.
