every new level multiply the stats by 1.5, just remove 1 atk or 1 nin magatama to know how much pow you lost and then do the calc, is not hard :-)

lvl 8 -> 9 is around 700 power each character. It's up to you to see if it's worth to spend up to 25k ingots for this amount.
