dont know if this was answered before or not.

i just unlocked space time today and im doing it for the first time.

in the top right what is it the space-time points for exactly?

As far as I understood the question, i think you are talking about the points for the point ranking. Those decide whether you qualify for the next level which will include top 128 based on points. Depending on your ranking each day at 22:00 you get some points which acc*ulate over 10 days. At the end of 10 days if your point iss in the top 128 you qualify for the next level which will be knockout based.

One more think available in space time is the coins which you use for betting in space time battles and for redeeming threads, magatamas and other goodies. This option is available under strongest ninja option inside space time battle option. You can get these coins by sellling your excess ninja exam scrolls, basic refines etc.

when can i bet? when the 128 characters are chosen?

and what items are best to get? seal fragments? maybe medium thread for me?
