Can there please be a guarantee that you will face someone of a lower power rating in Matsuri challenge when you DON'T have a full line up. I just got shafted pretty hard this time and only won a single game. The only time I was facing someone lower than my normal power rating was when I had only 3 ninjas. I understand how it works where if someone is in queue for longer than a minute, it auto matches them to someone but come on. I c*ually get 3 or 4 wins and just now I only got 1? I'm a level 89 with 57k power constantly getting matched against 93+ with 65k+ power. Is there really NO one that is lower than me?

But what if people come up with some exploit? If someone purposely build around the idea of a 3-person team that will beat all the lower powered opponent?

There exist some teams that will easily beat all player who are lower than them. For example, lightning blitz, all they need is for the chain attack to keep killing and you won't even have a chance to respond, and they have a good chance of killing stuff if the enemy is lower power.

Alternatively, water, sailor, roshi. As it were, it's incredibly difficult to kill anything on such double healer team when you are lower power. So while losing a second initiator will mean they can't do much damage to you, you also can't kill them any better even if they are a character down. And over time, they will grind you out with roshi and sailor growing power over time.

And with the way revive works, it is very easy to "force" a 3 person team at the end.

As it were, any change that would give a "normal" 3 person team, that is to say unfortunate leftovers, a fair chance would mean that purpose-build 3-person team would dominate--because if a purpose build team can't win, how can you expect a normal one to?

So that's why it shouldn't happen, because like many other would-be-nice-to-have such as trade, it have abuse risk, and some players just aren't very nice.

Matsuri is based on level, so if you have a poor power-to-level ratio even for a free player, Matsuri will more than likely be a bad time for you. You also want to have at least 3 teams with no overlap or very little overlap if you can help it, so that losing and resetting to fighting weaker opponents is no big deal.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Matsuri not allow you to run a three person team if you have 4 available?

The only time matsuri allows you to have a team less than 3 when you don't include your main in one of your lineups (you used 4 ninjas in one lineup), which leaves you with 5 ninjas and your main. If you decide to make a team with either your main + 3 ninjas or 4 ninjas yet again, the next team you can make is less than 3 unless you decide to revive. Outside from that, the system wants you to use 4.

Matsuri is based on power, not level. My level freezer in UK (lvl 82) basically only face 90 - 95s in matsuri. In the unlikely event that I actually lose a fight, the next opponent is almost certainly going to be a 90+ player of lower power.

In my particular case, my team one uses ninja ABC, team two uses DEF, team three uses AGH--requiring resurrecting A.

This leaves me main + 1 at the end. Should I resurrect just one of the 8 fallen, I would have a 3 person team left.

im lvl 75 with 38k power at the moment... i so trust this matsuri match-making program since when they gotta say "you might be facing lower lvl players than urs since u lost last battle WITH THE SAME ISSUE YOU GUYS BEEN HAVING LIKE FOREVER (never been fixed)." we should be ready to get defeated bitterly. Even if i try to refresh the game every wins and defeats, i still get , facing those 87 lvl players with 46k powers et cetera. sigh... bad thing though... im a f2p player... forgot this is p2w game... matsuri... #matsuri #bitter

The game, more often than not, matches me with people 1-2 lvls below me or above me with 10-20k over me. Even when I lose.

IDK what you people are talking about Matsuri is almost never balanced nor is it based on power or level, i always get people 10+ levels higher and when i lose almost all my ninjas i get to fight someone 10 levels below me, its so rare to see someone even close to my power/level!

Yeah! Same with my experience, the first battle which says "You might get matched with same levels with you" is not that good. There's a time i got matched with someone same level as mine but his power is way more higher that mine, and sometimes i got matched with a player with 5 to 10 levels higher that mine but his power is lower than mine.. So, this match making in matsuri is a little kind of a maze, it is confusing and frustrating.. No exact ways, just random catch. :D

Also, for the cause of the author of this thread, even you only have 3 or 2 ninjas remaining.. you can still be matched with someone that is way more powerful than you, or you could also be lucky enough to get matched with someone with lower power than you.. so like i said, just random :D there's a day that i can perfect 6/6 my matsuri, and there's also a day that i c*so 1/6 my matsuri..

Unless you are 95, power is not considered for matching, it's level only.

lets say is level based but for how the queues work it's like if level or power don't matter.

If your enemy is at his first time can meet you regardless what you did before if you are lower level or par level and lower power than him.

If your enemy is in queue when you click on 'match' since more than 60 seconds and you are the first after the 60 seconds passed to click on 'match' you are instantly matched with him regardless your previous fights.

If your enemy lost his previous match and was in queue before you and you click on match while being lower power on par level or lower level then you are instantly matched with him regardless what you did before.
