Have any of those match had a longer than 1 min wait time? Because if it have, ALL the other rules get thrown out the window and you will fight the first other person who also have a 1 min+ waiting time.

The reason I ask is that you sound low level, and problem with low level is that there aren't that many of you (leveling up become progressively slower, so people tend to cluster in highish level. There are tons of high 80s and low 90s in higher servers. Mind you, I'm talking about active player who actually do masuri. The oceans of inactive lowbies don't count). And when there aren't many of you, you won't get a regular match very often and will tend to run into the overtime which gets the boundless matching. This won't go away until you are at least in the 80s, unless you are willing to repeatedly cancel matching as it get close to the 1 min mark.

Even in "later" server cluster where 90s are rare, the cluster tends to be around 80s for the earlier server of your cluster, where you get more or less the same effect if you are below or at mid 70s.

It has been always a problem for me,,,,,matched with player way higher level then , & the help said ""u'll be matched with players comparable to u"",,,,yeah 91 is higher then 82 ....we can compare .hhhhhhhhhhhhhh OMG.....fix that plz

Matsuri matching was terrible for me tonight. It should be a bug or at very least they should change the description of getting an easier opponent because you lost your last match.

I lost my first match with a throw away team so no big deal. Then the second was matched near instantly with no longer then 20 seconds to match against a player 15k higher power then me who destroyed by best team. What was that? And the third match was someone who was near my level but who had much better ninjas.

There is no reason to do this any longer for me. My only value is fodder for other people to get wins so they can get rewards but for me Matsuri is a waste of time.

Timing of when you do Matsuri also plays into factor. If you do it right in the beginning, you'll more likely to see more players equal or stronger since weaker players haven't had the time to be able to get wins so they won't get matched to stronger players (most likely you). Just like what PriaseLuka said, there needs to be enough people queuing in your level range that fit the criteria of "facing a lower/higher power player" and since most activity are from players level 80+ on middle-older servers. Of course a stronger and weaker player can be subjective if a player has a strong lineup vs a weak lineup regardless of their power as the system can only look at power and level to determine the matching.

If you still get frustrated with the system, just do it for the minimal rewards (battle three times)and those rewards add up over time.
