That's because you first need to get to rank Six Paths Sennin- if you do it once, then every next season you will get rewards according to the rank you get during certain season. Before that you will be getting just the smallest reward.

Yep, is what i did for 3 months too. If you don't own lineups and initiative to do it is better to forget it exists for a long while.
