Since I can't use a 5th one I can either consume it with another rune or sell it. I decided I wanted to sell it, but it seems there is no longer the option to sell runes once you take it away from the cultivate screen. I know this was something we could do before. no you can only sell it in the cultivate window, though one time I can't click sell on cultivate window so I have no choice but to accept it and feed it to other yellow rune

Yes, that is what I was saying, you can now only sell through the cultivate window. But we used to be able to sell in the 8 gates window as well. So I'm wondering if this is a bug that needs to be fixed.

There was never the option to sell runes through the cultivation window. The moment a player accepts the rune, it's bounded. The only way to remove it is by feeding it to another rune.
