Azure Fang / Water Main

Water Main has one of the most overloaded set of talents in the game. She has a high critical hit mystery, can heal on standard attack, give her entire team the ability to poison, and she is the only main character that has crowd control on her chase. Here's how you take advantage of her for little cost:

Roshi / Killer Bee [Seven Swords Style] / Sakura [Sailor Uniform]

Skills:

Water Style - Super Shark Bomb – Personally, I found Super Shark Bomb to be a much better choice than Regenerative Healing Jutsu just because of how often it critically hits for Chaos. However, if you choose to take Regenerative Healing Jutsu, feel free to move Killer Bee to move 2 and Azure Fang to move 3.

Healing Jutsu – Azure Fang's Healing Jutsu is amazing. It heals a lot and removes all debuffs from the target.

Chakra Dissection Blade – This chase has a guaranteed critical hit which makes it the best choice for a chase.

Neurotoxin – Because Chakra Dissection Blade always crits, this talent makes Azure Fang the only main that can cause crowd control on a chase.

Poison Tai – Everyone on your team causes poison when they deal taijutsu damage.

Monkey King or Lightning Tiger King – Both are viable. It really just depends on who you want to chase, Killer Bee or Sailor Sakura.

Stats:

Note: This is only for Eight Inner Gates and Rune Stones. Never compromise your stats and power just for 1 build. Always increase your refinement levels, purifies, and charm levels as you normally would. Get these stats as high or as low as you can without forever compromising other builds.

Initiative – You want to stack as much initiative on your move 1 (Roshi) and move 2 (Azure Fang) as you can. You don’t need initiative on Killer Bee and making Sailor Sakura faster than their move 4 actually makes the build much worse because you want Sailor Sakura to attack twice after their move 4 already went so they have no chance of clearing the poison.

Critical – Stack Critical as much as you can on Azure Fang without lowering Critical too much on other ninja.

Injury – Same thing with Critical.

Combo – Keep everyone’s combo about even. You can remove Azure Fang’s combo Rune Stones and put it on the other 3 if you want because she’s behind Roshi.

Control – You don’t need Control Rune Stones or Eight Inner Gates Chakra on Roshi or Killer Bee, put them on Azure Fang to increase the chance of Chaos being successful and lowering the chance of being crowd controlled and Sakura to lower the chance of being crowd controlled.

Mood:

Roshi - +Health, -Attack

Azure Fang - +Health, -Attack

Killer Bee - +Health, -NInjutsu

Sakura - +Health, -Ninjutsu

Note: Feel free to use whatever moods you like best, I just prefer +Health because a lot of your damage is from the poison and ignition.

General Battle Strategy:

You want to have Killer Bee use his mystery on Sakura every time it’s back up. This gives Sakura two standard attacks and double poisons the enemy team. If they have an interrupt or an acupuncture mystery save Killer Bee’s mystery until after Killer Bee heals himself then use it any time between Killer Bee’s turn and Sakura’s turn; this gives the opponent less time to react to Killer Bee’s mystery. If they have a mystery that does immobilize or chaos, wait to see who they use it on. If they use it on Azure Fang, use it on Sakura, if they use it on Sakura, use it on Azure Fang.

On round 2, if the opponent is waiting for you to use Roshi’s mystery before using their move 1, use Azure Fang’s Super Shark Bomb. The great thing about this set up is that many players think you’re running Regenerative Healing Jutsu for your mystery, so this will take them by surprise. Also, because you’re using Neurotoxin, you have a chance of affecting their entire team with chaos.

On round 3, use Roshi or Azure Fang’s mystery, which ever one you didn’t use on turn 2.

With Roshi’s high damage, Azure Fang’s high chance to chaos, and Sakura’s high damage and poison, most teams won’t survive very long.

Arena:

See General Battle Strategy. I got to Six Paths Sennin with just this team. I was slower on my move 1 and move 2 than a few people I encountered but still won against most of them.

Great Ninja War:

Run this team with a Midnight Blade and Scarlet Blaze. Midnight Blade should run any team that makes use of Anbu Special Assault Tactics and Scarlet Blaze should run any team that makes use of Ninjutsu Urge.

Space-Time:

When placing your ninja, make sure your put down Sakura first so Killer Bee will always target Sakura for his mystery if everyone is at full health.

Dealing with Counters:

Standard Blitz (Midnight Blade) – This is the reason why Killer Bee is on the top and Sakura is on the bottom. You want to lower the chance of Roshi being killed on turn 1 as much as possible. Against standard blitz teams, Killer Bee and Sakura don’t matter. As long as Azure Fang and Roshi survive turn 1, you will win against any standard blitz of equal power. Always target Midnight Blade with your chaos chase and you will win. On turn 2, start with Azure Fang’s Super Shark Bomb if she is faster than their move 2 otherwise use Roshi’s mystery.

Ay Blitz (Midnight Blade) – Midnight Blade will use Iaido – Instantaneous Flash on Azure Fang and Ay and Midnight Blade’s standard will probably kill her on turn 1 if they both critically hit. The best way of dealing with this is by replacing Killer Bee with Masked Man or Han, moving the replacement to move 2, and changing Azure Fang’s mystery to Regenerative Healing Jutsu. If you survive Ay’s turn 1 damage, you will probably win.

High Combo (Azure Fang) – This is extremely hard to deal with in Space-Time. They run Roshi, Yugito Nii, and Sakura [Sailor Uniform]. Yugito Nii is always either move 2 or move 3 and will cause really heavy damage every turn on Yugito Nii's standard with Water Style – Water Trumpet, Wrong Hand Mistake, and Lava Style – Scorching Rocks Jutsu. Try changing up your ninja placements until you win.

Roshi, Hidan, Killer Bee (Midnight Blade) – If you see a lot of these teams, it’s better to just switch Killer Bee out with Masked Man.

Scarlet Blaze – It’s not really a counter, but just watch out for his Mirror Return when you use Azure Fang’s mystery. Also if Scarlet Blaze is using Mirroring Vision, you should still have no problem winning.

Cost:

Roshi will take 220 Seal Scrolls to get; make sure you save up all your Seal Scrolls for him. Killer Bee [Seven Swords Style] will cost you about 3500 – 4000 coupons from events. Sakura [Sailor Uniform] will cost about 3200 from events.

'Beginners' maybe is not the right word for it. Anyways nice guide, you c*so use han in bee's place to get more or less the same global outcome, depending on your enemies. Since the guide - if i didn't misunderstand - is directed to new players i would suggest to go for han instead of bee since the chance to get bee in kage treasure is pretty low, while, on another hand, you surely get han within 230 tries (in the sense, could be with 300 seal scrolls used in kage treasure you don't get at all bee and honestly speaking 5k coupons for bee seem a little waste).

It was actually for this:

But yeah, Han would be a good replacement for Bee. Personally, I like Bee on this team more than Han though because Bee buffs Roshi and turns your double healer team into a triple healer team.
