And which "vanilla" ninjas are still being used in 4.0 after being skill broken, therefore I was hoping some players with experience in China or Taiwan can comment on this.

If you are talking about only vanilla ninjas, sasuke and gaara are the only ninjas that can be seen in lineups people use. Besides those two, I have seen some lineups with tsunade (sannin), itachi , and kurenai but I seen very few people have them in their lineups. I seen a lot of lineups for sasuke susanoo, ay, danzo, and fu.

Keep tsunade as well. Although even skillbroken she is not as good as the hokage version she is a * good healer (heals 4 units before every action and removes 1 debuff when fully skillbroken).

Words on the street is Shikamaru and Choji are good. You might want Sai for his ability to nullify Super Amor as well.

Tsunade is hard to get 5 stars :X

I play chinese version since i quit uk and believe me by far ones worth it are Danzo, Ningendo and Sage Naruto/sasuke for early levels, Gaara is also very good if you going wind main forever

If you are looking for future meta teams with current ninjas, just watch videos from that version, most of them were already mentioned, also guy seems to be used in LM blitz. Skillbooks open up a lot more possibilities for current ninjas, some of them becoe meta, some not, I for one am waiting for a team, that can mystery every turn- ninjas like shikamaru, konan. Not top tier, nonetheless fun in use and very annoying. Asuma has interesting skillbreak as well, but it's a personal choice and a lot of "viable or not" will depend on that.

Erm, no. What he does is when equiped with 2 lions, his standard attack will cause high float even if target has Super Amor. Might come in handy in pve.
