One of the hidden aspects that was implemented in china with the upgrade from 2.0 to 3.0 was the modification of the damage formula to let defense and resistance matter more than in 2.0 so that stacking buffs ninjas like kimimaro wouldn't die in round1 by a comparable power heavy damaging team, making so more likely for pvp battles to reach round 5+ in comparison with 2.0

Now, since this is an hidden mechanics and we players can't know at all if this was implemented or not unless by experiencing it for a long time, i would wish to know if you noticed any difference and if possible i would like to have a confirmation by the mod/admins if this was implemented or not, because some of the biggest modifications in mechanics like crimson fist ones (the reduction of the bonus from 60% to 40% and the change of pose of duel) were made because there was this new formula.

Yes, in china roshi teams became viable in 3.0 for that reason.
