“To a year well done!”

Cheers sprouted from all over, drinks being raised in the air. Breeze was one of the louder ones, her loud laughter being echoing in the decorated room, already having been drinking from earlier in the evening, the sugar of the drink getting to her.

Everyone threw back their cups and gulped down the sugary liquid. Scarlet shivered as he felt the fizzy drink slide down his throat. He was next to Azure, the other small ninja humming a happy tune.

Scarlet looked around the room, both Breeze and Crimson harassing Midnight into a soda drinking contest. He let his mind wander as his gaze fell over the decorations that hung around the room.

It’s been one year since they started this journey together. One year that he has known his Creator and has loved her. The Creator that has given him a name and a purpose as a ninja. His Creator has changed his purpose multiple times but has always returned to his original one of fire and genjutsu.

And his Creator has only changed his name once.

He’s met thousands of people over the months, learned of their names and personalities. He’s made friends from other lands with his Creator’s help and has earned rewards based on his performance. His Creator is kind to him and does her best to give him the greatest teams available.

He hasn’t changed teams too often, the two most used being a team full of debuffs against his opponents and a high attack power team that helps him with higher ranked opponents. His Creator doesn’t take much advice from others about using her teams and instead comes up with wild teams that work well enough.

But he does not mind his Creator being new to the stage, it’s fun being able to learn with her along the way.

There was a time when he felt abandoned, when his creator left him for awhile and he was unable to interact with others. There were so many others with him in the dark space, watching, waiting for their Creators to return and give them life.

The dark space was lonely and he thanks every day he doesn’t have to return to it. He’s grateful to his Creator for returning and giving him life once more. He still thinks of the others he saw in the dark space, how they may still be there, waiting for their Creators to return, so that they could live once more.

And even if his Creator does not know what she is doing most of the time, she knows how to make new friends. Knows how to have fun playing the game and finding people to talk to.

He is glad she is his Creator.

He was poked in the shoulder abruptly, jolting him from his thoughts.

“Scarlet? Whatcha thinkin’ bout?” Azure asked, pressing closer to him with curiosity. Scarlet leaned backwards, eyeing the girl with su*ion. She giggled happily, eyes closing in happiness.

“Just thinking about the past year and what’s it’s held for me and everyone else.”

Azure pouted slightly. “Well yeah! You have the fond memories; Creator hardly ever uses us!” Scarlet would have thought her upset over the fact, but her tone was teasing and the grin on her face said otherwise.

“She’s just a fire lover obviously!”

From across the room came Crimson’s booming voice, the two short shinobi turning to look at him. “Hah! She’s just too lazy to find teams that fit with us!” The rest of them all laughed, even Midnight smirked in amu*t.

“You may be right Crimson, but she’s still our Creator!”
