Im level 49 wind i beat tsunade easily with konkuro gaara and kabuto no sweat and then on like 3rd turn the * slug does acid slime that kills my entire team even if i remove the debuff. Am i too low level or is there a specific tactic to deal with this?

you need interuption (Guy) or accupunture (Neji) to stop his acid slime

Ahh that level, well actually you need a full clone team so the slug wont use full area acid attack on your team , make sure the clone fill all the empty spot especially the front row ... i passed it using naruto 3star, sai 2star, blaze main and sai .

Done that doesn't work also full clone teams slows down the damage too much .ill try the interrupt thanks.
