So i've never done the refinement rebate event (still kinda new) really not sure what or how it goes. i've been saving up med refines for this event (never saved up before). So my question is, once i use the med refines (once the event starts) what do i earn out of it? Also, should i save up coupons & buy med refines? someone told me that's a waste unless you're rich.

It's basically an event that doubles your credits whenever you happen you increase your refines.
the more you increase, the more credit you get. It's basically the fastest and easiest way to ugrade your refines. It's why people save up until the event spawns.
Also, you're best bet is to buy med refines from the group shop and other events like monthly and such.

One more question. While doing this event, should i focus on one refinement? or spread them out? also, what's the best level to stop at to start on another one? 7 or 8?

It's best to work on one at a time. The more you spend on one, the better chance you have it of upgrading faster, then you can go to the next. It's best to stop around 7, because beyond that you'll need advanced refines.
