Last night, as water main in matsuri and the first time ever! I used normal 5* Zabuza. I didn't know what i was thinking I just wanted to try out his round 1 blind.

As equal power and slightly higher init I believe. My Zabuza threw out his mystery and it worked wonder.

And first time in a long while 5/5 wins.

Zabuza mystery can't be used in round1 so is not at all a counter for blitz teams. The only viable option to beat a blitz team that owns higher initiative than you currently are *y harem jutsu and sand dust. The problem is that both are very few useful against other meta teams.

Blitz teams are hard to counter because it is basically a Battle Power stand off. If you have more power than a blitz team and your ninjas survive the first turn then there you go, but if you have less and you lose one or 2 ninjas then its over.

I see people saying a sage, gaara, jin team. But even with that a high bp blitz will rip right through it probably killing the sage clone, sage, and pressing quite a bit of damage on the WM.

The only big counter to a blitz team is a Hinata. She will soak all the damage turn 1, and block the whole blitz.

Blitz teams usually run asuma wind blade whose standard attack overcomes hinata mystery. If the enemy has not the intelligence of a rat will wait for wb asuma to attack to see what happens (unless they chose to not use the critical standard attack, since both taijutsu attack and the one that hits the lowest hp ninjas can't care less about hinata). And if owns higher initiative could delay its lightning armor to round 2 or the very end of round 1 if asuma combo + iruka mystery was enough to nuke hinata.
