Fix matchmaking too.
Every time i lose i get a 30k person , everytime i win , i get +70k person , like im pretty sure this is not how matchmaking works. We would definitely appreciate if you guys fix game instead of releasing new things that the game isnt even prepared for it and full of bugs...
While I would love an improvement in match making, it's simply not that simple.
Quite frankly, matchmaking probably would prefer pitting you against a closer matched opponent, but most of the time it's simply impossible.
Given the limited number of participant of each server cluster, the insanely long time range and wide power disparity, the only way to reasonably ensure a close match (say 3-5k) is increasing the matching period to at around 5-10 minute.
Given that the average player, when given mostly fair fights, will end up fighting 6-8 fights, that's going to be around an hour devoted to masuri, potentially more.
While some people might be ok with it, it's probably not what most players can deal with.
The other solution is shrinking the event time period, to 30-40 minute. Generally speaking, that is ample time to do the event, at the same time it would force all player to play during the period, thus greatly increase the matching pool at any time and thus get people closer matches. Of course, then people will complain the change will mess with their scheduler and/or they can't be here at the right time etc.
Perhaps the ideal solution is something in between, shrink the time period to 60 to 90 minute and bump matching time to 3-4 minutes.
In any case, while I'd love a match making improvement, the fact of the matter is that it's not as simple as some people think it is. Quite frankly, it's not really a problem in the algorithm per-say, but a problem in planning and demographics. Take sage for example, as much as I dislike the way Xserver sage is (again, poor planning), it IS doing exactly what they say as far as match making goes, so there is nothing wrong from a programming perspective.
