Nine Tail Invasion is a good event. You can get a lot EXP if you can do decent damage. (aroun 130k exp for me each time)
Today when I was waiting for this event, I randomly clicked on people to see their boss formation. Surprisingly, I noticed that most people seems have no idea about the correct formation. Therefore, I decided to make this guide.

Theoretically, Wind>lightning>Earth=Fire>Water.

In the first couple days, you don't have enough HP to survive the normal attack. At this period, just use naruto as your meat shield and try to survive as long as possible.

When you have like 3k HP (with Anbu support) and enough ninjas, it's time to do some damage.

To maximize your damage, the most important ninjas are barrier ninjas. You should always bring a barrier ninja of your element. 40% is A LOT.
Also, make sure your barrier ninja is 3-star. There may be a bug that 2-star ninja's barrier doesn't work correctly sometimes.

For example, Haku for water barrier.

Theoretically, Your formation should be your Main, barrier ninja and 2 other DPS of your element. (Or strong buffer like Wind Blade Asuma, Iruka, etc)
DPS who can deal element dmg are preferred.

Since I'm water main, I will start with water for an example.

Use all your talents which can boost damage.
For summon, be sure to use Tonton. It has the highest single target damage.

This is my current formation. (If I have Wind Blade Asuma I will replace tenten)

Be sure to manual the fight to maximize damage.
Strategy:
Round 1: Haku ult, activate Barrier
Round 2: Main ult
Round 3: Suigetsu ult FIRST. After tenten launched her normal attack, Haku ult to deal damage, the barrier is over.
Round 4: Haku ult FIRST, activate barrier. Then, main and tenten ult.

Do it this way to ensure that your team is benefited from barrier all the time.

Wind main---------------------------------------------------------------

The idea is the same, use 3 star Garra for the barrier.

Ninja selection: (ranked by preference)

WindBlade Asuma: Super strong buff
Baki: Good buff, wind attribute damage.
Temari 3-star: good buff, good ult
Asuma: good ult
Naruto: well he is free

The strategy is the same. activate barrier at the first round, terminate the barrier at the END of 3rd round to deal damage, and activate it again at the beginning of the 4th round.

Lightning Main-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ninja selection:

Sasuke 3-star: Lightning barrier, chase 10 combo, must have
WB Asuma: Super buff (yes he is wind, but he is always the first choice for any class since his buff is the best)
Guy: nice buff
Beheading Sword Kakashi: Attack twice
Iruka: nice buff for full konoha team, chase 10 combo
Kakashi: has a clone
Kimimaro: well he is lightning

Most good ninjas are hard to get. If you are f2p player without good luck, the choice is really limited.
It's fine, most of your damage come from your main.

Earth Main------------------------------------------------------------

Ninja selection:

Yamato: Earth barrier, bonus dmg against tail beast, but may be hard to get.
Jirobo: Earth barrier, a good alternative for Yamato.
WB Asuma: Super buff
Lee: attack twice with ult, good attack growth
Ninja War Kiba: has clone, chase 10 combo
Jugo: can buff Jirobo and self
Kiba: ult is not propmp, otherwise, as good as NW Kiba

Iruka is still a good option if you have full konoha team.

Fire Main-------------------------------------------------------------------

Ninja selection:

Anko: Fire barrier, must have
WB Asuma: Super buff
Iruka: he is fire, and he is good
Hidan: high dmg
Pain-shurado: high dmg
Ukon Sakon: attack twice
Karin: chase 10 combo, not bad although boss immune to poison
Choji: he is free

Also, Tobi may be a good option, but I never tried.

Conclusion------------------------------------------

Most people underestimated the power of barrier. 40% attack through the entire fight is a lot. (again, make sure to rise your barrier ninja to 3 star)
As water main, I have confident in the water formation. For other class, if you have better formation ,please share.


If you have extra resource, you can maximize their attack and ninjutsu. Awaken to blue should be enough.
