for those who are asking mains to be nerfed why not suggest that there is only one main so that you won't have a problem, well considering people like you, you will complain about anything if you got beat up. Can't you grow up? if they beat you then beat them back, don't complain here just because your team got countered
No game is perfectly balanced between all classes, not even big ones like WoW. So objectively speaking, there must exist some extend of imbalance in the game. That said, it could be within an acceptable "range" and not a real problem.
While individual opinion is unreliable and likely subjective and biased, common consensus is another matter altogether. While perceived imbalance by the masses isn't necessarily true, it is more likely to be so. And regardless of what people say, their true opinion can be seen by their action. And as far as what class people consider to be strongest goes, you can simply look into the class distribution of the space time top 100. Space time is NOT a perfect reflection of anything, but it is a good enough approximation, so while +/- 1 standard deviation won't mean anything, +/-3 standard deviation would.
So, please do count the class distribution of your server cluster before claiming that all cries of imbalance are salty whines of the loser. Some of them might be more factual than you might think.
My server cluster (S2-S12 LA) top 100:
Wind: 9 (-2.75 SD)
Earth: 10 (-2.5 SD)
Fire: 22 (+0.5 SD)
Lightning: 25 (+1.25 SD)
Water: 34 (+3.5 SD)
That said, this isn't concrete proof of any class being OP in and of itself, because meta does shift. I've done the count a few times since space time came out, while earth and wind have thus far come out dead last all the time, a month and half ago, lightning was the forerunner, followed by fire and then water. Water have been steadily on the rise since the popularization of the immortal team, drawing mostly from lightning and fire (because earth and wind, as it were, are mostly die-hard earth and wind who will never change class at this point. People who would jump ship mostly already have, first to lightning then water probably). So this isn't really proof that water is truly superior, just that it's most meta (at least on my server cluster). But it is far likely, given those numbers, that water is over powered and wind under powered than the reverse.
