This still happens to those people aswell, it isnt broken it is just matching with the next person.
As top of my server and ranked top 15 in space time in my bracket I still get faced against the top 3 of the bracket in matsuri, these are people with 20k more BP than me, it happens to everyone.
Only advice I could give you that works for me is to wait until after 9 tails as generally the strongest players go right as matsuri opens.

it is broken... but oasis want it broken like that... cause if first criterium to match is your level and afterwards they look for power then its broken in every way...

and how would you suggest to fix it? if they do by power first and ignore level then what will that achieve? as is, i fight people different levels and power from my own every week, i have a hard time finding a match with people within 10k power of me, if you limit it to 1k like you want i might never get a match before the one minute limit marker, which means i fight weaker people anyway. so what did you really accomplish besides making me wait longer between fights?

the current system isnt perfect, but what system is? to make it more fair for the weaker players then stronger players(who spent more money on the game) have a less enjoyable experience which isnt fair either since people like me KEEP THE GAME RUNNING.

If they do wanna fix it the solution would be the power matchup u set a criteria like the max value between players cant be more than 5k and also for those who are stronger why not let them fight agenst some sort of a bot or AI who is close to their power range because to be honest. Because what is the point to have a battle i mean come on fighting someone with 20k more in power is like diging your own grave and their no point in it. I wish they could make a better criteria over who u are battle and having more of a close and fun battle rather having a fight that would be similar to paku(kakashis dog) Vs Madara Uchiha.

Yea at least for you the fight is loaded for me it is a fkin disaster today. The fight wont load or i just get stuck on screen or an empty field without the chance of doing anything. I already lost 2 team on this fkin matsuri without the fight loading. lol fkin joke like the DEVS.

Just FYI, if you want matches to be always within 1k of each other, chances are the average queue time would be around 10 to 30 minute.
How many people do you think would be happy with that amount of wait?

i can beat people 5k stronger than me, people 5k weaker than me can win as well so why should we use a 5k difference? and when lots of people have 200k power a year from now that 5k means nothing.

if im just going to fight a bot everytime then they might as well save me the time and just give me the rewards for having enough power

Today was the 5 o 6 Fighting Matsuri Fight aborted, i really feel angry because its obviosly i lost the battle and the ninjas i send to participate, please try to fix this cross-server problems, im tired to lost because game server problems like other people with same problems. Thanks

It's wonderful how people think that it is fine to have a mismatch fight than to wait. It's like saying that I am a pawn and that's my role during matsuri. Great.

"Matsuri matchmaking has been suggested by the staff members countless times. There's a probability for a better matchmaking system that would extend the timer. However, it's not set in stones and will remain the same for the meanwhile. "

So currently, it'll remain the same and it's not a "bug" nor "broken"
