Currently, all LA servers after S14 has been grouped in a single giant bracket. Servers in other regions are divided into multiple smaller brackets. This doesn't seem right. I almost feel like someone made a typo when setting the brackets, and put S14 - S599 instead of S14 - S59 (which would've been a much more fair bracket).

In the LA Space Time right now, rank 100 - 400 is just a sea of 45 - 50k players. There are a total of 4 players from S2* in the top 200 for point ranking, zero in top 128. There are zero players from S3* or newer servers in the top 200 at all. Even S1* players in the top 128 is pretty uncommon.

This bracet size feels very abnormally large. Other regions have servers less than 2 months apart in age competing with each other; while LA have servers over 8 months "competing". There actually isn't all that much competition for servers 2* and later. There is simply no chance.

It seems a bit weird yes, what they could of done is do S2-14 S16-100 then S101- 200+ or so. The brackets are a bit off and it seems weird how they set it up. Activity maybe?

I wonder if population distribution plays a part into this. Perhaps LA is the most "top heavy" with most players cluttered into the early servers such that they can't make a bracket for lower servers like they do for other regions as it won't be sufficiently populated to have meaningful competition.

That's the only logical reason I can think of, and I consider it rather unlikely. I'd like to know the population distribution to be sure thou.

Pretty sure an average 30k pow player won't even get into top 1000; the population is there...

An active populace.

There's no real mystery behind it.

When it comes to the population of LA/NY, it generally leans towards NY servers.
So having a massive LA populace, would normally reside in the earlier servers. Time-Space wouldn't sustain with a lower populace as it's not fair for the majority of competitive players.

I understand the concern and reasoning, but that's the explanation when it comes to the LA selection.
