WARNING LONG POST AHEAD PART 2:-

PLAYER ROLES IN F2P GAMES ENVIRONMENT

Hello, before you continue reading this thread, i would suggest you guys to take a look at my previous thread located
F2P, P2P, WHALES, Events, Core & MOD

It isn't necessary but it might give you a better understanding on the concept of F2P games and how it works.
But before i dive into the topics, what happened yesterday is something worth to learn from. I spent 4 hours of my time watching the recorded version
of the live stream, and it support the known fact of how powerful the social media is. However i'll have to refuse to give any comments about it since some of the youtubers already did and partially the things to be written here touches this matter as well.

In any type of F2P games, exists multiple type of parties which in general i have covered in part 1 and i don't want to cover it again here. Regardless of the parties, each and one of them have their own roles which might affect the sustainability of the game in the long run. So today i will be touching specifically on the Player Roles that co-existed in almost all F2P games and how it affects the environment.

F2P Players
Being the core players of the game they are by best the largest group of players in any F2P games. Naruto Online has been one of the generous genre of webgame where F2P players are allowed to participate in ALL CORE activites (CORE game are covered in Part 1 in general), unlike a certain F2P games where CORE activities are locked until you decided to pay or subscribe a membership of any sorts.

The best thing being a F2P in a webgame is the risk that they are involved with. ALMOST all F2P webgames are generally known with their model of opening new server as a means of generating income and at the same time provide ample chances to both new F2P and senior F2P players to move or start a new, venturing into a new server hoping the RNG will favors them. But again, there is the FUN factor which we have to understand. Depending on the things that keep holding the F2P to stay and play in that server, it will affect their decision to MOVE or not to MOVE. As these factors are completely different from 1 F2P to another, i might discuss it in another thread.

Question, does F2P players matters in F2P games environment? Simple, they are the big chunk of players who run the CORE of the game. Given this role in any F2P games, my understanding they do matters. But from what i've seen in the forum in addition to what happened yesterday, are these F2P players affected in any ways? my answer is a NO. The CORE of the game is still there as usual, as i've mentioned earlier in part 1, EVENTS are not CORE of the game, it is just an additional means/surprises/giveaways/appreciations created for the players. By being F2P you are limited to limited but obtainable resources required to ADVANCE or EVEN COMPETE through the game but NOT shut AWAY from it especially in Naruto Online. Do you need Ay, Susanoo Itachi to complete your CORE activities in the game? answer is NO.

So what are the roles of F2P players again? Enjoy the game as much as you can, as long as you can. Have FUN period.

P2P Players
There are 2 group of P2P Players.

Mild Spender/Minnows/Low Spender
These terms are being used over and over throughout so many games with little to no distinct attributes between them. Most of them spend to gain an added advantage to cover up their losses either in terms of time/effort or advantage agaisnt their opponent in a specific environment/server "faster" compared to F2P. The magnitude/reasons of spending is so huge that i refuse to cover each of them. But here is the thing, regardless of their spending, their feats are obtained "faster/earlier" compared to F2P which means, F2P are capable of reaching given the sufficient time reason being these spender always has their limit of spending and at least that is what happening here in our beloved Naruto Online.

But here is the thing, a lot of F2P games relies on RNG system giving all players to have the same and equal chances on everything despite how many times they spin the gachas. Regardless of a player pulling the best item/pet/summons in any games or doing 500 pulls, 1000 pulls or 2000 pulls, the rates are always the same either 1/500, 1/1000, 1/800 or 1/100 for each and every spin. Hence the choice to spend ALWAYS lies with the players without any PRESSURE / FORCE from the Company. Knowing your own budget / limit in giving anything a try is crucial, because at the end of the day you are RESPONSIBLE for each and every EXTRA chances that you took, that is RNG. As such RNG might enforces the survivability and the capability of F2P to remain competetive in a longer run with this group of players but at the same time, it could diverge the attention of the this group of players to something else that is worth/without RNG related due to the budget limitation.

So what are the roles of this group of players? Enjoy the game, try to control your environment and set your benchmark having ALOT of GAP between the P2P and F2P might leave the environment deserted and completely ruin it. At the end of the day, you are the one leading the MOOD of your environment.

WHALES/SUPERFANSThis is typically the SUPERFANS, the reason for them to spend is because they LOVE it and they ENJOYED to do so. MONEY was never an issue to them. They could be at the PEAK of the power charts, they could be at the LOWEST of the power charts but here is the thing it DOES NOT matter to them depending on the reasons that they've kept to themselves most of the time. People love the game due to various reasons and why they do things is very mysterious but i would say this in their defence is because they are HUMANS and humans are UNIQUE in each and every own way.

Which is why, in some community you can see this group of players didn't talk much, didn't cry much and didn't complain much, they just SPEND on what they WANT because they simply WANT to do so and the COSTS doens't matter. You might have seen in other F2P Games this group of SUPERFANS simply go and buy ALL the COSTUMES available just because they LOVE how it is made/how it looks on them and YES this happened.

So their roles? They are the backbone of the money for the company, it is a known fact they play a role in keeping the game running to the extent this group of SUPERFANS/WHALES of players could simply outspend the combined total of all players in the previous 2 groups. Questions, so am i a whale having spent 5k - 10k in this game? My answer NOT as long as you keep counting how much you've spent, because most of them actually LOST COUNT of how much they've spent because it simply doesn;t matter to them, i know this sounds absurd but BELIEVE me it happened.

But 1 important question that we have to have an answer in this thread today, does WHALES/SUPERFANS breaks the CORE game? They don't really BREAK the CORE it is just plain inaacurate, but they somehow AFFECT how the CORE of the game runs with this, the medium spender will give a BIGGER impact to the environment due to the numbers of them which GENERALLY outnumbered the WHALES/SUPERFANS in each and every server. One of the reasons they keep themself mysterious in a WAY is that how sometimes or most of the times the community reacted so negative towards them hence instead of having to FACE the negativity which MIGHT make them feel OFFENDED, they would choose just to SPEND and NEVER care of anything else as long as they are HAPPY and having FUN that is all matters

-----------------------------------------------------------------

With this, the player roles in F2P games has been elaborated not ALL but i believe i've covered it generally. However few words of my own point of view to the community of Naruto Online before i go, ENJOY the content while you at it, patches or updates WILL ALWAYS come, the speed is very ambiguous to multiple of players because each and everyone of you have different PACE of playing the game. While there is a chance of 5%-10% of the players or less visiting the FORUMs to voice out their requests/opinions it shall NOT always be taken as the MAJORITY/ALL players voice. Social Media played a MAJOR ROLE in our life now, but please take everything that OTHER people said with a grain of SALT. Have FUN!

Yes, you are right, all the F2P will just enjoy the game and not really want to be on top 10. I m sure as hell they will keep playing the game or start on new server just cause it is FUN and they liked the anime. Oasis needs to find a way to make f2p feel special or they will just leave. I m playing the chinese version at this moment just cause i get more free stuff and i actualy have a chance. What happened on the last weeks are probably just the F2P revolting because they can t keep up with the meta because they don t get better ninjas in shops also ppl being revolted about finding out about the rigged events, etc. I did come back to read the forums because of the drama that was going on yt. Oasis payd shill GTFO. lmao sorry 4 my english
TL;DR
