You don't need a Jonin Medal to be able to teleport group members.

Try clearing your cache/cookies and restarting your client.
Might be connection based issue preventing teleportation

Do you have the teleporting kunais? You can get it daily from the online pack (those rewards you get for staying online for a certain time). Just need to click on that on the bottom right corner of the map, then your desired location.
