I have mentioned this a few times already.

That said, your statement isn't true, there is hard cap on 8 gates at lv 11, and a soft cap at lv 9 (where the stat gain vs cost drop by 4x, making it pretty much useless)

  • Except it'll take years to hit said hard cap. Which is good enough to keep people busy....
But this suggestion is only good when coin is valuable, once people hit the soft cap, while coin is useful, it stops being valuable.

At the final tier of red, we are looking at a ratio of 2 million coins for 1 point of attack increase, that makes coin pretty worthless.

On a side note, it would take roughly 2 and half year to max a set of all red, and roughly 1 year to max a set of all gold, realistically probably something in between those two, and taking into account that init only have purple, maxing is going to be slightly sooner than that.

It might be better to convert excess exp into some sort of "point", which you c*e to exchange a variety of goods, including coins, in order to preserve its value (like how excess ninja frag go into the refine system). It doesn't have to be an awesome rate, but it does need to be reasonable and lasting.

  • Assuming you can even get 4 sets of red in the first place... which will take years by itself.
not getting them just makes it become useless sooner, as you encounter both cap and worse rate of return sooner. So what I'm describing is actually the optimistic situation.

  • cool idea, i rather have exp stacked myself but its an nice option. Lets make a "barging" for both parts.
You can cap up to ex. 500% after that it goes as u said! "win"-"win"?
depends on how many level is released next time, if it's 5 levels, 500% is too high, if it's 10, it should work.

Specifically, this time around, you only needed around 430-450% to cap, due to the new plot missions. So 500% would mean instant cap again if it's just 5 lvs.
Thou I think the next one is 100? I'm not sure....
Edit: here by capping again I mean reach max lv, not max lv +99.99%, which is rather irrelevant now.

  • No not really. You'd just keep dumping coins into trying to get red, and selling the other chakras isntead of collecting. So no, coins will remain useful for many years.
You need to think this rationally.

As I've said, I'm describing the optimal case, which is in 2 years, we will have a 20m coin to 1 attack ratio, making it very worthless.
Not getting the red would make the return ratio worse, because the final resulting stat gain cannot be any higher (capped at lv 11 red), whereas the expenditure is not capped and can be more, thus resulting in a worse coin:attack ratio.

It's very much like inflation. If some currency is inflating at 200% a month, and your currency is healthy and only inflating at 10%(exp also have diminishing return) but you are forced to exchange your currency to the inflating currency at a fixed rate, while the rate might be good now, I'm sure you can see why it would be problematic down the road.
Direct exchange of two "items" that have different rate of diminishing return is not long term sustainable, but in the very least one can delay the crash by buffering the exchange with more variety of goods so that the target item does not diminish as quickly.
