it is happening in other areas too. today it is the ninja exam questions. after answering 7 correct i earned a level one rune. not sure if a summons or not but i could not find it anywhere. it is not the first time either. other times i received awards and i thought they went to my inventory i went to look for them they were not there.

runes don't go into inventory, it's probably a summon rune, which can only be viewed in the summon interface (where you slot them)
