I believe that there was something about calling him Dead Last, as he always failed at most things he's tried, however I can't tell for sure

This is due to the fact that he failed the academy exam a couple times, got held back a year or two, and then proceed to graduate as the dead last (didn't manage to graduate normally, which is what the first arc is about)
