Arena opponent

Curious if you guys know this, but what determines my arena opponent? I doubt it is rank points, because I have versed people with more and less than my own rank. (Jonin and lower and Super Kage and higher) I know it surely isn't based off of our bp outside of arena, because 80% of the time I verse someone with higher initiative. I heard a rumor it is based on server age just curious if it is. Also please if you can (I know a lot of people are mad about how arena is including myself) please make/recommend it where we find opponents based off of our highest bp (between 5k). Because I find it impossible to get any wins. I am currently 33 -8 and the hole keeps getting deeper. I played today at 6pm est (possibly when most users are online) and I kept getting the same person in arena. After the 3rd queue with them I just stopped and took a break came back after nine tail and it happened again, queued against another person 2 times in a row instant queue.

I have played arena for multiple hours the past couple of days tried different lineups, in the end it doesn't matter I am already in the negative. (which is not a great feature, why have negative rank? Why do we lose points in the first place?) Well I hope some more people agree with me and this feedback gets seen by the devs. I know the mods aren't at fault here, but you guys get blamed just because you guys are a the only ones who we can complain to. I really hope arena gets some type of fix soon so I can hopefully try to hit six paths (Seems impossible at the moment).
