The 30K exp you get is for the non-main characters in your formation. You get 1500 exp per sweep for your main character, 3000 if you have the jonin medal. Mondays give you 100% more exp per sweep.

Best way to utilize it is saving stamina pots for Mondays, that's when you use them all up while benefiting from the double exp.
