Okay, first of all, OASIS need to add a "General" to the drop down section...

Anyway, I've been playing the game for around 4 months now and I can say I'm an average player (F2P), now the game is okay IMO, it's not the greatest game but it's average despite how P2W it is. However, despite everything, there's one thing I have noticed and that is how broken initiative is, in a fairly balanced fight in terms of BP, a fight could go anyway possible but there's one thing that ends up deciding it in the end...initiative. As long as you have the higher initiative you immediately have the advantage as you get to cause damage first, you get to stop their combo before it even starts etc. Now initiative has only one downside...it's useless if the other player is a powerhouse, in other words, initiative doesn't matter to them because they can take the hits and hit back harder.

So with this being said, initiative IS the most powerful stat in the game, BUT, there's one thing that really doesn't make sense and that's the mechanism in which the game decides which player does their passives first i.e clone, buffs etc. Now here's the part that's confusing... because of the mechanism which decides which player does their passives first the player that's SLOWER uses theirs first which means if they have a passive that's a barrier, they can say good bye to that thing which means, not only are they at a disadvantage with speed but they basically lose all hope because their barrier is gonna get taken down if the opposing player has a barrier passive.

To balance a game, everything needs to have a balance of good and bad, but apart from being a powerhouse, initiative decides all. The game needs to be made so that having higher initiative isn't always a good thing, it's common sense that the player that is faster puts up their buffs and barrier first since they are well FASTER. Now, even though this means the player that is faster may lose their barrier to the other player IF they have one as a passive, they still have the upper hand with their initiative so they still go first, they just lost a little buff. IMO this is the perfect balance, it's either be slower and get the buff from the shield or be faster, attack first but lose the shield buff rather than be faster and have everything.

Initiative is not the most powerful stat in the game, however it is the fastest . xD Initiative isn't broken.

If it bothers you that much use your coupons, event redemption rewards, and group shop for the refines that are available to get faster.

I never said remove it completely...I only said they should change how it works I.E the faster player should use their barrier first not the slower player.

the game right now is fine and very healthy making the speed of a character decide the barrier will make so many people complain .. i think leaving the system as it is will be good changing it won't make it better anyway

They can't do it because P2W players spend a lot to refine.
Also in the Chinese version it works as well, so they can't change it :)

Initiative is one of the most important stats for pvp in every mmorpg i don't see the problem.
For the auto barrier it is normal that the fastest player launch his barrier last. you can't penalize someone for having better stats than his opponent.
You are just frustrated because this game is pay to win and that's understandable but the game will never be fair.

I decide to start a game where players can achieve more power via money.
I play it 4 months. I see people getting stronger when spending money, i cant believe it and start to complain about it and say your system is *ty and unfair.

How dumb am i from 1-10, where 10 is the highest?

12?

i have 65k power and pretty high initiative. ealier today i switched out mei for chojuri for seal and never switched back, when i went to kill a red-plunder at idk 33-35k power i was FKED UP. Like right away when i saw danzos barriare up and me not having my mei i knew this was gonne be tuff with danzo chaosing and immobile. and my sailor and watermain did survive till the end of the fight (till when danzos barriare was out) "tactic" plays A LOT bigger role. (and luck, i always role a barriare ninja)

anyway about the initiative barriare part. it is there to give the one with higher initiative an upper hand. If you have 2 irukas on place 1 the one with highest initative goes first, If you have 2 danzos, the one with highest initative will have barriare up first. i do agree on the complexity on why some ninjas way different fields do their moves faster then others. Bit then its again our job to learn which one is fastest. there is a list or guide out there somewhere telling which elementskills goes first i dont remember them but ye it is a bit complex.

Against most opponent you could try to hard CC their turn 1
But you can't against RoW usually, wind main could but it's difficult and lead to very restrictive team building.

That's why lightning main is the best choice for ptw right now. I'm not saying lightning main is strongest in general, but it IS the one that will most likely get the win you paid for against weaker/slower opponents when you are ptw.

I've noticed that if you have a healer in 4th position and Higher initiative, they'll heal before your opponent's 4th position acts. Potentially making the heal less effective. So sometimes higher Initiative is bad but only in a really specific case.

i thought passives (clones, barriers, buffs) are determined by overall Team Init? the higher ones will always go last. In other words, the passive barrier will cancel out the one with the lower team init (assuming both teams have ninjas with passive barriers)

for the individual mystery prompts and std atk, i think that's determined by individual ninja init.

init is important, but if the power difference is not a lot, sometimes i can win with control team (chaos, immobile) it's usually 50-50. how, what and when u do the mystery prompts is important too.

1. If you know or suspect that your opponent has higher initiative than you, just plan your fight around it. I used to fight this Lightning main that was faster than me, I knew he would always go before me on round 2, and his AOE paralysis would mess up my combo. So after the 4th time I've lost to him I decide to just let him go first on round 2. I let him do his fancy paralyze/acu chase on my main, but then I just use my healer to clear everything, and then use my main right after. Or you could just prepare beforehand by disabling their main mystery user before round 2 starts but after his healer acts, making it so he can't clear it in time.

2. There's a counter to passive barriers. It's called active barriers like Sasuke, Anko, Haku, Hashirama (lol). Most people will be using Sasuke but there's your simple solution. If they aren't running a round 1 disable then your barrier will go off and replace theirs. If they do disable your active barrier user then they won't have that skill available for round 2. If they still manage to beat you then you probably weren't gonna win in the first place.

There's nothing wrong about initiative, just upgrade yours and you can beat p2w if you have higher init than them. Im a f2p with 42k power lvl81 i really focused on my init cause that's the very important to win the game. So it isn't broken bro

initiative decides who win if the power difference is not that much and your strategy lineup is right, but if your enemy has way more power than you then that can be a disadvantage still especially if you can deal that much damage by moving first. anyway, game is p2w game is already broken for smart f2p vs smart p2w.
