Okay, first of all, OASIS need to add a "General" to the drop down section...
Anyway, I've been playing the game for around 4 months now and I can say I'm an average player (F2P), now the game is okay IMO, it's not the greatest game but it's average despite how P2W it is. However, despite everything, there's one thing I have noticed and that is how broken initiative is, in a fairly balanced fight in terms of BP, a fight could go anyway possible but there's one thing that ends up deciding it in the end...initiative. As long as you have the higher initiative you immediately have the advantage as you get to cause damage first, you get to stop their combo before it even starts etc. Now initiative has only one downside...it's useless if the other player is a powerhouse, in other words, initiative doesn't matter to them because they can take the hits and hit back harder.
So with this being said, initiative IS the most powerful stat in the game, BUT, there's one thing that really doesn't make sense and that's the mechanism in which the game decides which player does their passives first i.e clone, buffs etc. Now here's the part that's confusing... because of the mechanism which decides which player does their passives first the player that's SLOWER uses theirs first which means if they have a passive that's a barrier, they can say good bye to that thing which means, not only are they at a disadvantage with speed but they basically lose all hope because their barrier is gonna get taken down if the opposing player has a barrier passive.
To balance a game, everything needs to have a balance of good and bad, but apart from being a powerhouse, initiative decides all. The game needs to be made so that having higher initiative isn't always a good thing, it's common sense that the player that is faster puts up their buffs and barrier first since they are well FASTER. Now, even though this means the player that is faster may lose their barrier to the other player IF they have one as a passive, they still have the upper hand with their initiative so they still go first, they just lost a little buff. IMO this is the perfect balance, it's either be slower and get the buff from the shield or be faster, attack first but lose the shield buff rather than be faster and have everything.
