As to Loaf, I was wondering the same thing as well. Its bugging me a little.

I know barrier works with overall combined initiative and averaged out. But it seems that in Arena, the team with the barrier cast 2nd (meaning his passive barrier is the one in place, and overwrites whoever casted the passive barrier first), every single member in position will go first. I just don't get it.
