none that I've seen, thou yellow certainly have quite a bit of range. resistance seems to be all 4, but the rest of them.... Knowing the range would really help refining, thou that's hardly a priority right now

About the bonus stat range in yellow tools, Hard version of brother TI drops the red gourd. It can give higher bonus stat compared to others.
Reforged my red gourd to have it +79 att/+78 nin.
Others that we can get mostly goes upto +60 in att/nin. Most tool gives anywhere between 40-60 bonus stats in att/nin.
Def/res bonus stats are rare in my experience, but they tend to stay around +45 max or so.

While I agree that reforging is low priority now, but if any of your tool is lacking in HP/Att/Nin - reforging them to have those stats, gives quite a nice power boost. After lvl 15-16 , it takes a lot of tools to level them up just 1 level (which usually gives +10 att/nin or +8 def/res or some hp). Compared to that, using 6 tools to reforge a gear gives more benefit.

problem is, once you reforge, you are semi stuck with the set of gear, especially if one of them have multiple super rare + super good stat (like your 79 atk/78 nin), this makes elemental more difficult.
Getting a full matching set of elemental would only require around 30-50 elemental stones, and about 200-400 for a perfect set (in other words, of combo of your choice, 5x nin, 5x atk, 3x life probably is best)

But if you had to work with a specific set of gear instead of being able to change, it would cost around about 120 for a full matching set and 600-1000 for a perfect set.

So you should reforge the tools that won't have a "red" version in the next TI update.
From what I can tell in other versions, we will be getting Red Mask & Red Sword.

I won't post the link but the next TI tools are up on wiki.
Me myself, i'll focus on leveling them and saving up the Red Gourds with the top attributes and using them to reforge when i'm L17-18 on my tools.

No, that wasn't my point, even for oranges it's better to wait, because elemental first then reforge will allow you to get a full connecting set (or optimal connecting set) for less amount of rolls, because you can keep duplicate of each gear with different elements. This is a math problem that I'm too lazy to explain.

Patching missing stat(on a 5 stat tool, for example) is about the only somewhat acceptable early use of reforge, and even that hurts you long term unless it can reward you by being sufficient to swing a battle.

On a side note, there are cases where it's better to reforge an existing stat away instead of filling up an empty slot, specifically the 3 stat that does nothing (atk/nin pen and injury) contributes to your power but doesn't help you any in battle. As soon as you can qualify for the 43200, they are actually BAD for you in that it makes your masuri matchmaking harder(i assume anyone there have no issue with survival, the only other place where power is used for match making) So it is better to replace those dead weights with actual useful stat.
