Right, I couldn't remember off the top of my head which one it was, but I do believe he is also rumored to be pulled like playboy sasuke, that does not paint a pretty future as far as prospect for more ninja from the movie goes...

Thing is, copyright and stuff works differently from China to US. Loads of stuff aren't properly enforced in China and devs tend to get away with all sort of stuff. Now I know this game SAYS that it's officially licensed, but we don't know to what extend exactly. Movies sometimes involve different backers(and therefore ownership rights) than the anime and therefore it's possible that they aren't actually cleared to release certain movie related stuff, either in the US or at all. (They might have thought they did, only to find out they didn't.... they never said why they are being pulled.... It's also possible that some of the owner wants the game to be canon only, which the movie and related episode might not be)
