No it did not, I only had 8 missions on the first day. After that I've been getting 2 each day and I'm ranked Six Paths Sennin.

if you press the question work it will tell you that you get 2 missions daily and that it can ac*ulate to hold up to 8 if you miss daily arena missions, Im assuming we all get 8 missions when new first unlock it so we can get a nice amount of arena coins to start with.
