So, it's up to you guys to call this luck or misfortune, but I recently got enough fragments to 4-star my Kankuro from Survival Trial. The problem is that I also have a GNW version of him active in my roster. So, I suppose my question is: Should I replace GNW Kankuro with his Shippuden version?

i mean GNW is an insanely good asset: Ignites 2 target per turn when equipped with a puppet, ignites AND poisons up to 9 targets for the other team, plus he could get around Hinata/Kimimaro/Neji's evasion. But, since he is a 2-star nin, his stats are a bit cringy - he tends to die pretty fast, plus his puppet is kinda paperthin.

But what about Shippuden Kankuro? Could a 4-star Kankuro outclass a 2-star GNW Kankuro?

Generally, GNW versions of ninjas outclass regular versions no matter what star level they are. The extra effects of the GNW ninjas - in our case, Kankuro's ignite - is too good to miss out on.

Plus, it makes him really useful in a team with Deidara.
The thing with GNW Kankuro is that he's really risky to use as a tank. I wouldn't use the puppet to tank unless I have absolutely no other way to tank. It's just too risky, and your GNW Kankuro can easily become useless in a team.

Agree with Dosu, try to position your team so the puppet is protected and his usefulness will double. :lol

Another thing to consider is that GNW summons a stronger puppet, I heard it's 60% vs 40% of the caster stat (or was it 80% vs 60%?) this makes the GNW puppet tougher despite the summoner being lower stat so that it will usually at least survive some AoE damages whereas the regular one dies easily. This is rather important because Kankuro w/o puppet is really really bad.

GNW is a bit fragile so team him up with someone more defensive(is that the word?), also, GNW is a much more stronger version than ANY of their SHippuden counterparts, just because of the extra stats.
