Do stat improvements improve Stat Growth figures or total in a Stat? Also, is the mood modifier applied before or after this addition?

(I.e if I inner Gates runes and Ninja tools +50 ninjutsu, and for easy numbers sake my base ninjutsu growth was 950, would the game take my ninjutsu growth to be 1000, then add +5% for mood, or would it calculate my ninjutsu Stat for my level with the mood modifier, then add 50?.... or is it some other addition completely?)
