They kinda did :p You can actually get WB asuma fragments from the new chase missions. It's not many, and not a guaranteed chance to get him - but they do add up each week.

Yeah I'm begging you guys...please put old ass ninjas into events that everyone already had countless opportunities to get and that can actually be gotten from Survival Trial and Chase missions as well....please don't bother with giving us new and interesting ninjas instead....
