As you mentioned, your situation is not applicable to everyone. It's unfortunate that you can get an item that's almost useless to you specifically, however, it may not be to others currently attempting the instance or those that are about to unlock it.

Though, I'm sure you probably understand that they have to consider everyone's situation and not just yours. So despite it being a "rather simple deduction", it's nowhere near an ideal one.
