Maybe i just don't understand which Series they mean, because they had ramen all the time in Naruto, they ate BBQ as a group when hanging out, they had Dango's(Meat *) and naruto kept his purse (frog wallet?) with him since the start of the series. maybe they are talking about a totally different series cause all those are in Naruto as far as my knowledge goes.
