Hello, I would like to know how the passive "Defense Knowledge" works mathematically for the earth main. Also, I would also like to know, if let's say I have two passives that increase resistance how would % behave? For example, if I put Gakido on my battle line and my Earth Main as well. The Earth main increases resistance by 40% to all units and Gakido increases 40% to the rinnegan units. How much resistance would Gakido have? 80%?

i ask this question because no so long ago i was playing an ARPG where the damage reduction passive work this way: If i have a passive with 10% damage reduction ill take 90% of the damage but if i add another passive with the same % instead of taking 80% ill take 81% and if i add another one ill take 72.9% they do that cuz they didn't want you to get to 100% damage reduction xD. Just want to know if the same if applied in Naruto Online. I don't speak English that well so sorry for my grammar and thank you :).

The percentages always apply to the base stat, so 40% + 40% is 80%. Also reducing by 10% twice brings the stat to 80% of its original, not 81%

Ninjas whose damage reduction stack always have a cap (eg: edo hashirama BT)

This is wrong, buffs don't all follow same pattern.

For example barriers and WB Asuma are multiplicative, so if you have element buff from main 40% and barrier for 40% you would have 96% increase not 80%.

Stat reduction is also multiplicative, reducing 10% twice will be 81% base stats left not 80%, and 5 times would be 59% not 50%.

OOH looks like I am severely mistaken. But when I was using rinne sasuke and getting the 150% nin boost every round, it looked like it was applying to the base stat and not the current nin... I am confused now.

ICE has a post on this somewhere in Strategy, but I can't find it. In General, If 2 ninjas give the same buff for the same number of rounds, then they won't both apply. So, if you have a ninja that gives 30% NIN boost for 3 rounds for Akatsuki, and another that gives 30% NIN boost for 3 rounds to all Lightning ninja, only one would be applied since they both last for the same # of rounds. But, if one is for 3 rounds and one is for 5 rounds, then they both will be applied.

This one? https://forum-narutoen.oasgames.com/page/show-post-31625-1.html
In the final note he says 3 lightning main 25% attack each stack and give 75% attack, thats why I thought all buffs and scaling works that way (i.e buffs apply to base stats and not to current ones)
